Apple announces Mac event with ARM, Big Sur

Apple sent out invitations this Monday for the event to be held on November 10 at 19:00 (Spain), in which it is expected to announce the first laptops that will not use an Intel architecture since the days of PowerPC.

Together with the new laptops (MacBook Air, MacBook and MacBook Pro) the new version of macOS Big Sur is expected to be released, this time in two versions, one for Intel processors and the other for the new ARM architecture.

If the history of Apple is any indication, starting this November a new transition of processors, we can expect that in November 2021 all Apple equipment will already be equipped with its proprietary architecture.

The ARM architecture is expected to provide more efficient power management, allowing for longer battery life and thinner computers, as well as faster execution, as all code is optimized precisely for its proprietary architecture.

It is also expected that the immediate availability of the new version of the macOS operating system, called Big Sur, will be announced.

As a bonus, Apple is expected to announce its Airtag, the tracking devices for personal items, which have been rumored for months and which have Tile panicking over the possible cannibalization of their niche.
