Apple Pay in Mexico is already a reality

Apple Pay is already available in Mexico this week, allowing users in Mexico to pay using their iPhone and Apple Watch.

Citibanamex and Banorte, two of Mexico's largest banks, in addition to American Express, are already listed on Apple's page as compatible with Apple Pay, although, as in the rest of the countries, new banks and services will be added over time. a Tweet, Citibanamex confirmed that its Mastercard credit and debit cards will work with the service.

However, as is also normal in the implementation of new technologies, some users are experiencing problems when they try to add their bank cards to bring them to the iPhone, an incident that will be solved as the days go by.

The Apple Pay support page already includes Mexico as a country that supports the service, although other pages from Apple itself have not yet updated the information including Mexico as a country where Apple Pay can be used.

This launch makes Mexico the 61st country in which Apple Pay is available and the fourth in the American continent after the United States, Canada and Brazil.
