Apple TV + signs multi-year agreement with Maurice Sendak Foundation

Apple TV + has signed a multi-year content creation agreement with the Maurice Sendak nonprofit foundation.

Maurice Sendak Foundation is set to manage the artistic legacy of Maurice Sendak, known for writing and illustrating seventeen children's books such as "Where the Wild Things Are" (where monsters live - a film based on that story was made in 2009 ), "In the night kitchen" and "out there".

According to Variety, as part of the agreement with Apple TV +, the foundation will develop new projects based on Sendak's books and illustrations.

Longtime Sendak writer, director and collaborator Arthur Yorinks, owner of Night Kitchen Studios, will help bring each project to life for an exclusive launch on Apple's streaming service.

The partnership with the Maurice Sendak Foundation adds to the breadth of children's programming on Apple TV +. In addition to the above, Apple has partnered with Sesame Workshop, Peanuts, and the Jim Henson Company.
