It was originally intended for the teen audience, to make random video calls, leaving work and work aside.

You can video chat with up to eight people. Rooms are created, in which people on your friends list and friends on the friends list who are connected will be able to join the video call, as long as the rooms have not been configured as private.
How to register on HouseParty
To get started, go to the app. From your computer or your mobile device the methodology will be the same. Click on "Sign in". Enter an email account that you use and have access to, as you will need it to validate your account.
In the following boxes you must write your name and add an alias or username. Remember that your alias must be easily recognized by your friends so that they can find you easily.
You must enter other data, such as:
- Date of birth, if you want to protect your data, it doesn't have to be a certain date.
- Passwords, we always advise you not to guess your passwords and to combine uppercase and lowercase letters, symbols and numbers to make it more secure.
- Phone number, although optional, will help you find your friends users of this platform.
- You can log in with Facebook, Snapchat or Google so that, in this way, your contacts are synchronized.
Now that you've created an account, the next thing to do is add friends. To do this, in a new window, the app will show you those who are close to you and who are users of this platform.
You can add more friends at any time, simply extend the options menu at the bottom of the screen and press "Add". You can search for them by username.
How HouseParty is used or works
As we have repeatedly mentioned, HouseParty is was designed exclusively for video calling and group games. For this reason, in order to use it, we need to grant the app permissions so that it can access the other functions of our device, such as the microphone and the camera.
To do this, go to your device settings and search for " Application management » scroll down until you find HouseParty. Log in and in the permissions section, activate the access to camera and microphone.
To receive alerts when a person connects to HouseParty, it also turns on notifications.
Now go back to the application to continue using it. You can access the options menu by moving your finger up. To make video calls, click on the camera icon on the right and, for messages, on the paper airplane icon on your left.
You can make a video call to the people who are on the list, as they will be the ones who are connected. Choose one and press " Join ". Anyone who is online can join the video call. If you want to create a private room or conversation, click on "Close the room."
Another thing you can do with this app that stands out from the rest is that you can play group games online. It currently has four games available:
- Chips and Guac is a word association card game.
- Quick Draw you have to draw a drawing and the others have to guess what it is, whoever does it first wins.
- Trivia, is a long time question and answer game.
- Heads Up is the game " who's Who ". One person will have a card on their forehead and the others will give them clues to guess what it is.
