Want to listen to all podcast episodes downloaded to your iPhone at once, without having to switch between them? Here's how to create a Podcast station that will play all the new episodes of the selected shows.
Many podcast listeners find it difficult to keep up with the podcasts they are interested in, especially if they have to read them one by one if they have listened to all the episodes of each podcast.
If you've subscribed to a lot of podcasts on a topic, you might want to hear any new episode that comes out, no matter what show it's coming from. Also, in many cases, if you start listening to a specific podcast and like what you listen to, many times you will hear multiple episodes in a row.
But if what you want is variety, the idea of putting on a show and listening to the same person or people for hours isn't a great idea. This is why Apple has introduced podcast stations.
What are podcast stations?
One way to better organize podcasts is to create stations. Similar to the playlists we have on iTunes or Apple Music, a station is a collection of podcasts that you follow.
The station can consist of as many podcasts as you want. You can also set up multiple stations, such as theme-specific versions that group together smaller podcast collections.
You can also manage the order of podcasts played by each station or whether it will only play specific episodes of a podcast. You could also instruct it to play only the most recent episodes, automatically updating it whenever new shows are available.
Podcast stations also sync across all devices, so you can access your custom station from your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV.
Creation of the station
Depending on the platform you choose, there are slight differences in how a broadcaster is created. Ultimately, the method follows the same steps, so if you create a station on iPhone, you will easily understand the Mac version and so on.
