Order applications on your desktop with a single gesture
MIUI unlike the stock versions of Android, it does not have an actual app drawer. As with iOS, in MIUI we have all the app icons on the screen, being able to sort them in folders or on different screens.
For this reason, it may happen that it is because we are moving apps or uninstalling those we no longer use, empty or empty spaces appear between the different icons. Obviously we can't allow it, who doesn't want to always have their mobile desk perfectly organized?
Instead of placing the different icons one by one, Xiaomi and MIUI allow us to order them in a much easier way. Simply by shaking our Xiaomi device, each of the apps that used to be cluttered will be placed correctly and where there used to be space and gaps, they are now gone.
In case this simple trick doesn't work for you, you will need to do the following. Go to Terminal Settings, Home Screen and turn on the Shake to Cover Free Spaces option. This way you can go back to your Android desktop, shake the terminal and… magic!
Without a doubt, MIUI 11 is a great revamp of a MIUI 10 that was already hard to beat.
