How to reset your Apple Watch password

If it's been a while since you last used Apple Watch, you may have forgotten your password. This guide will walk you through the steps required to be able to use the watch again and how to set a new password on Apple Watch.

If you've forgotten your Apple Watch passcode, the world doesn't end. As long as the watch keeps turning on and paired with the iPhone, you can fix the problem without much effort.

Unfortunately, you will have to erase all settings and contents of the Apple Watch to set a new password. Looking at it from a positive angle, you will be able to restore it using a backup, which means you won't lose any data.

The process is a little tricky, so before you begin, make sure both the iPhone and Apple Watch have more than 50% battery power, and keep the Apple Watch on the charger during the process.

Important: you will need to know the Apple ID password to restart the Apple Watch. If you don't know it by heart, you may need to create a new password for your Apple ID.
