Time to clear Flash from the map

As of December 31, 2020, Adobe no longer supports Flash Player, and from January 12, 2021, Adobe will prevent Flash content from working in Flash Player.

Adobe strongly recommends that all users uninstall Flash Player to protect their computers.

Some users will continue to see Adobe reminders for uninstalling Flash Player from their computers.

Click «Uninstall» when you get the Adobe prompt in the Flash player or follow these instructions to uninstall it manually:

    1. Determine the version of macOS you are using
    2. Use the uninstaller that matches your macOS version

    • To download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller:
    - Mac OS X / OS X / macOS, version 10.6 and later: uninstall_flash_player_osx.dmg
    – Mac OS X, versione 10.4 e 10.5:  uninstall_flash_player_osx.dmg

The uninstaller will download to the Downloads folder you selected in your web browser (if you haven't changed it, it will be the user's Downloads folder).

    3. Verify that the uninstallation has completed completely

Time to clear Flash from the map

Flash Player was already a security flaw when it was in its best days, imagine what it will be now that Adobe will no longer apply it or keep it. Furthermore, playing Flash content consumes a huge amount of resources, which affects battery life if you use a laptop without being connected to the mains.

While it sounds unbelievable, there are still websites that work with Flash. Recall, some websites for creating photo albums, calendars, etc. They use Flash.

    Goodbye, Flash.

PS: if you want, you can recreate one of Steve Jobs' "illuminating" moments, when he decided to shelve Flash on iOS, which undoubtedly marked the beginning of the end of the Adobe product, ten years ago.
