Steps to follow to request an invoice in Uber

The Uber app has two ways to generate invoices, one is manual and the other is automatic. One thing you need to keep in mind before generating an invoice is that you have to first create a tax profile, and this is done for each payment method you use; In other words, if you add your debit or credit card or cash payment to Uber, you need to create a tax profile for each modality.

Create a tax profile

1. Enter uber.com with your username or e-mail and the password you use in the app. You can also log in using your Facebook account.
2. After logging in, go to the top right corner and click on your username where a menu of options will appear and you have to press «Profile settings».
3. Then select "Tax Profile" located at the bottom of the menu on the left hand side and click "Create".
4. Fill in the required information, such as name, address, payment method (in this option you have to choose a credit, debit or debit card, remember that if you use these three payment methods you must create a tax profile for each method).
5.  You have to choose whether you want billing to be manual or automatic.

 

Manual billing

1. After you've created a tax profile for each payment method you use in the app (step explained above).
2. Click on your username.
3. Press the "My Trips" option where a history of your trips will be displayed.
4. Choose the trip for which you want to generate an invoice and click on the "Generate invoice" button.
5. Your invoice will be sent in PDF and XML format to the email you registered in the app. If you don't see the invoice in your inbox, you should check your spam or junk folder.

If you choose manual mode, you will have to enter your profile every time you want to generate an invoice, and this can be done 24 hours after the trip ends.

Automatic billing

Uber RFC is the best option to generate invoices for your trips, as by choosing the automatic billing option, all trips you make with Uber will be billed and sent to your email in PDF and XML format after 24 hours of travel.

With this option, you won't need to request a receipt every time you make a trip, as Uber will receive your invoice. Note that only the invoice is generated for the payment method for which you have created a tax profile.

Data of interest

• Invoices of your travels are available in the Uber system for 60 days.
• To generate an invoice, each trip must have been canceled.
• If the trip has been canceled with promotions, coupons, invitations or gift codes, no invoice will be issued.
• In the event that the trip has been partially paid for with a promotion and the difference is canceled by the user, an invoice will only be issued for the amount canceled by the passenger.
• Please confirm that all information registered with Uber is correct so that you can receive your invoices without any delay.
