Why buy a mid-range phone before a range interval?

Does a $ 100 phone really do the same as a $ 1.000 phone? Of course not, but honestly you don't have to spend all that money to have a smartphone of exceptional quality, since luckily we have many brands on the market that make really interesting terminals at fairly low prices.

Why buy a mid-range phone before a range interval?

Because we can't deny it. The price of smartphones is always higher. And if 5G, 12GB of RAM… there is little excuse companies offer us to place their highest-end phones at a price of over 1.000 euros. Nobody doubts it, in a couple of years we will see phones for more than 2.000 euros. So, today we're going to give you three good reasons to bet on a mid-range as the main device.

Specifications and performance

Why buy a mid-range phone before a range interval?

When you want to buy a top-of-the-range phone, you do it without a doubt because they have the best features or because they have the best photographic sector. Now, do you need a mobile device with 12GB of RAM? Do you need processors with so many cores? Is it worth spending more than 1.000 euros for a Samsung Galaxy S20 instead of half for a Samsung Galaxy S10?

Assuming everyone does what they want with their money, the truth is that most users are served by a current mid-range. The performance of these terminals today is splendid and there is still no application or game for Android that requires a lot of power and, unless in the near future - which we doubt - mobile games rival those of PS4, the more phones between 350 and 600 euros are enough, and even for much less.

Design

Recently, having a mid-range phone meant plastic and not-too-cute designs, while the high-end featured high-quality materials and sleek designs. Thankfully this seems to have changed and is that today even the low-end has some really nice and well-built phones.

Of course the construction materials won't be the same as an expensive phone, but just look at a few brands like Samsung, whose successful Galaxy A line has some designs that really grab attention. And honestly, they're not the only ones. Huawei, Xiaomi, Realme ... there are many companies that are betting more and more on elegant phones for all budgets. And we rejoice.

Price

And finally, of course, the price. The truth is that not everyone can afford to spend so much money on a mobile phone and we will be honest, except for some aspects such as the photographic sector, the difference in performance between a good mid-range and a high-end one is not so much. Then we have unique cases like the Pixel 3a, which for less than 400 euros takes better photos than a high-end one, but those are exceptions ...

On the other hand, renovating a mid-range phone is less painful than doing it with a high-end phone and that's something to keep in mind for anyone who likes to release a new phone every now and then.

In short, I do not recommend buying high-end phones, it would be missing more. As I said before, everyone does what they want with their money and if you can afford to buy an expensive phone, do it. I just want to show that in Android there are a lot of options when buying a phone and that the mid-range of Android has nothing to do with that of a few years ago, for the sake of the consumer.

And you, what's your take on the current Android mid-range?
