The Android Authority portal, one of the reference points for mobile technology and especially Android on the Internet, asked its users about the most important aspects of a screen when buying a smartphone. With over 1.400 votes in just a couple of weeks, the results have been quite interesting.
There are five aspects that most attract the attention of users on a screen. Starting with the last one, only 6,4% of respondents voted for screen size. This means that very few users care about the size of a smartphone, which Apple has already demonstrated with the launch of compact devices like the powerful iPhone 12 Mini.
On the other hand, screen resolution and screen color are in third and fourth place respectively. As for resolution, the data is quite significant because it shows that something that was so important years ago isn't a priority right now. Virtually all mobile devices today have magnificent resolution, so users prefer other features when choosing a smartphone.

The second place is for screen technology with 28,3% of the vote. Today, there are many differences between IPS, OLED or LCD screens, so it is understandable that users choose the best screen technology in their new phones.
Finally, what is the most important aspect of a screen? The refresh rate.
As the name suggests, the term "refresh rate" refers to the rate at which the content on the screen is updated. This speed is measured in images per second, so the unit of measurement used to determine a panel's refresh rate is Hertz –Hz–.
According to Android Authority, almost 39% of users voted for this feature. Apparently 60 Hz has been lower for many and it is that once you try 90 Hz and even 120 it is impossible to go back.
