How to configure your device PIN
To start you have to choose and enter a 4-digit code, with which you can correctly lock the bracelet. To access this configuration, you need to start by opening the application " MyFit ". Once inside, you need to enter the bracelet settings and locate yourself on your profile.
You can see this section reflected in the lower right section of the application and you can easily identify it. Once you are inside the options that the settings section offers you at the bottom of the list, you will be able to locate the menu » Laboratory «.
It is precisely in that section, where you will find all those tools that Xiaomi puts to the test and where you can also proceed with the configuration of the PIN of your band.
When starting the setup, you need to enter a special 4-digit code, which should also be easy to remember. When you've done that, all you need to do is save said configuration and in this way this configuration will be reflected on the bracelet.
When you reactivate your Band, by scrolling up or down, the screen will ask us to enter the PIN we have previously chosen. However, the time and the pedometer, parents continue to consult without needing to unlock the device, as they will appear permanently on the device's lock screen.
How to unlock the Smartphone if the Mi Band is close
This is one of the most useful features that the bracelet can offer, which allows you to keep your band and your phone in sync and therefore, when both are together, your smartphone will not need to be unlocked. This way, you are guaranteed quick and easy access to the device. To do this, you just need to follow the following steps:
- Start by accessing the settings of your Mi Band following the same steps that we have indicated above.
- Once inside, you just have to click on the section Screen lock.
- Once inside, you just have to insert the button that you will find at the bottom of the screen and enter the wizard where it is indicated that said bracelet is the one you trust. With this step, you need to create an additional shortcut in order to give certain permissions to your device.
- Once you are all done with Xiaomi Mi Band, you need to click on the section called Smart Lock, there you can check that said bracelet is included in the section "Trusted devices".
In that case, you can now start using the automatic unlocking of all your devices as long as it is close to your Smartphone. It should be noted that thanks to this bracelet you can also find your mobile phone in case it has been lost.
