- Download the application and install them on your computer.

- After installation, open Core Temp and pay attention to the window below where it says “Core # 0” this will depend on the amount of cores in your PC.
- The program shows four temperature criteria of each core in order from left to right as follows:
- Actual temperature.
- Minimum recorded temperature.
- Maximum recorded temperature.
- Load percentage of the current activity.

Check the computer temperature in the BIOS
The basic input / output system (BIOS) is the reserved area of the operating system which contains the firmware settings. In modern computers running Windows 10, the BIOS has been replaced by its equivalent (UEFI Unified Extensible Firmware Interface).
To enter the UEFI / BIOS you need to follow the steps below so that you can check the temperature using the same operating system as your computer.
- Press "Start", it is the Windows logo at the bottom left of the screen.
- Now click on "Restart". And before the computer starts up, press the “Esc” “Del” or “F2” keys. This will cause the computer to restart and show a series of settings.
- You will choose "Troubleshoot" followed by "Advanced options".
- Once you have performed the previous step, press the “UEFI Firmware Configuration” option and press “Restart”.

Alternatives to lower the computer temperature from Windows 10

- Reduce the performance of your laptop or desktop.
- Go to Windows Finder and type "Change power plan" .
