Apple will invest 1 billion euros in Monaco

    Apple will make Munich its European Silicon Design Center, as announced. They have already started working there to help develop Apple's projects and this expansion, along with the additional investment in research and development, will exceed € 1 billion over three years.

    Apple says it will build a facility with the latest technology that will impact the creation of hundreds of jobs in the area, which is already Apple's largest engineering center in Europe, with around 1.500 engineers from 40 countries working. in various areas, from power management to processors. The new location will house employees working on connectivity and wireless technologies.




    Apple will invest 1 billion euros in Monaco

    The new 30.000-meter building is located in central Munich (Karlstrasse) and will be home to Apple's growing cellular connections unit, Europe's largest research and development center for software and semiconductors for wireless connections. The teams will work on 5G and higher technologies and will focus on developing, integrating and optimizing wireless modems for Apple products.

    Apple plans to start using the new building by the end of 2022 and, like all Apple offices around the world, it will run entirely on renewable energy.

    The building in Neubiberg (Munich) has gone through several technology companies, as the leadership has been renewed. It was first from Siemens, then Infineon, later it was bought by Intel Mobile and finally it was acquired by Apple Mobile.
