Users' favorite devices

The world of video games is undergoing significant changes in recent times. Consoles like PS4, Nintendo Switch or Xbox One continue to reign, even as more and more video games are consumed via digital downloads and mobile phones. In this sense, within Chollometro , desktop consoles account for 23 percent of demand, followed by smartphones with 19 percent, positioning itself as the favorite devices for users to enjoy their favorite titles.




In this sense, the console most requested by users in the last year and which continues to grow in 2020 is Nintendo Switch.

Also, the percentage of platform users who bought their games for computer is 18% against 23% who prefer to play on consoles, this trend is likely to continue despite computer prices tending to be lower and offers more frequent. 

Video games, better digital

According to the platform, the purchases of its users, both for PC and for consoles, have been digital in 79%, which means that fewer than two out of ten games have been purchased in physical form.
