How to copy, paste and move files from Mac OS to an external hard drive

The storage of our information must always be responsible and for that we need more instruments to help us organize, distribute and customize all our files in a comfortable way.

This is one of the main methods that many users are used to. It's simple, easy, and fast enough, so there's no risk of the unexpected. For copy and move files with this method, you just have to follow the instructions below:

1. Start by hovering your mouse over the folder or files you want to move. If you have already entered the device in which these files are located, you also need to open an additional window in which this device is located. If you don't find it, go to your directory and press i tasti Ctrl + N you can select the external device.
2. Once all the folders have been opened, we must proceed to drag the files we want into the folder we have selected. All you have to do is press on the file and drag it. If you select a large batch, you will see that it will indicate the number of files that will be copied.
3. To leave them in the folder, you just need to release them and once released, we can see that these documents will be available in that place, but also in their folder original .

Copy files using the Mac menu

This is another useful way to place files from one place to another, without any problem, as we would do it from system menu same . 

1. To get started with this step, we need to start by selecting those files we want to copy. After that, we have to go to the menu, press on the bar the option: edit and then copy. If it seems like a long process, you can also use the keys:  ⌘ + C
2. Once the previous steps have been completed, we just have to go to the external hard drive we have chosen or, failing that, to the USB drive we have available.
3. Once inside the menu of said folder, we just have to locate the edit option in the menu bar and there, we will select this time the paste option or also, we can use the following keys to make it much more intuitive: ⌘ + V

And voila, with these steps you will be able to see that all the files you previously selected will be there.

This action is important to remember, as it can be used in multiple devices, with some variations of course.
