Apple expands App Store advertising business

    While it might be thought that this is not the best time for these types of initiatives, after the implementation of the ATT that limits the tracking of user activity and which can result in a redistribution of online advertising budgets, Apple has announced an expansion of its App Store advertising business, Apple adds a new location for paid ads to the App Store search page, which will appear at the top of the list of suggested apps.

    In April, the Financial Times reported that Apple, which already sells ads on the App Store that allow developers to pay to appear at the top of the list, would be expanding its advertising business.




    Apple has opened a second location for paid ads on the App Store search page, which will appear in the first pesto of the list of suggested apps. Previously, developers could bid for ads on specific terms within search results.

    According to Apple, ads on the Search tab in the App Store allow you to grab attention and get downloads for your app by placing it in a prominent position. Millions of users visit the Search tab in the App Store every day to find and download their next app. 

    This second position is the expansion of Apple's advertising business in recent years. The company also sells advertisements on the Apple News and Bolsa apps. Apple hasn't disclosed how much it gets through advertising, but it is estimated to be a marginal amount of the $ 50 billion annually generated by the services.
