Opinion

While this is undoubtedly good news for users who less and less have to travel to big cities to be able to repair their devices or get a diagnosis of what is happening to them, it is also true that the line that separates official Apple suppliers from membership the independent provider program is becoming increasingly nuanced.

If Apple Authorized Service Providers (AASP) - Apple Authorized Service Providers no longer have the exclusive right to repair Apple devices, plus the fact that these same devices are sold virtually everywhere, they have less and less reason to maintain exclusivity and more motivation to become multi-brand stores that can sell any computer they ask for.

It is true that APRs are an anomaly in our times. Virtually no one has their own distribution chain (the car is an exception), much less in consumer electronics. However, slowly but surely, we are seeing the demise of third-party Apple stores.
