Apple will update Logic Pro with spatial audio tools this year

Apple will update Logic Pro with spatial audio tools this year

In an Apple Newsroom editorial today, Apple Music radio host Zane Lowe revealed that Apple is creating tools directly in Logic Pro that will allow musicians to create and mix their own songs in Spatial Audio for Apple Music.

Very soon we will have artists who are born in the world of space audio, just as I was born in the world of stereo. Future artists may not even consider recording an album in stereo because they will only know about spatial audio. And things won't stop getting better. Later this year, Apple will integrate immersive music creation tools into Logic Pro. Any artist will be able to compose and mix their songs with spatial audio for Apple Music, whether in the studio, at home or on the go.

Spatial Audio, based on Dolby Atmos, is an immersive surround sound format that allows musicians to mix music so that it sounds like instruments are all around you in space.

Logic Pro is Apple's professional music production software for Mac, priced at $ 229,99 on the Mac App Store, with a 90-day free trial available.
