How to create or style tables and cells using Adobe InDesign cc
We have told you that this application is the sister of Photoshop and we have shown you articles that teach you how to use this wonderful tool. But returning to this tutorial, later we will tell you what you need to do to create or apply a style to tables and cells using Adobe InDesign CC.
As you already know, when you create a table of contents or any other type, it is made up of rows and columns and these are made up of cells, where you can enter numeric or textual data. Based on this we will create cell styles and table styles. Since the second does not contain the first, we will create the cell and column styles separately, then link them.
To start we need to have a table created, in it we will place the vitamin table as main text. As the header of column number 1 is Fruits and Vegetables and as the header of column 2 this type of vitamins. And then in each cell the name of a fruit or vegetable and in the next cell the vitamins that that fruit contains.
Now in order to work more comfortably, we need to make the dockable cell and the table style panel visible. To do this, we go to the top panel and create a clip in the Window tab.
So in the option Text and table and finally in Table, in case you want to have the styles visible, we will go to Window, then to Style and finally select the style we want to see.

These will appear at the bottom of the right side panel, the cell and table style panels have a menu button, which you will find at the top. In it we can configure or load cell styles and table styles. You will also find several options for designing and editing tables and cells.
Now we go to the option to create a new cell style, after the window appears we write the name. And we can indicate a paragraph style and from the text section, you can make the settings you want. Then you can go through the section graphics, strokes and fills, diagonal lines, when done click Ok.
We do the above for the header cells, now we need to do the same for the cells that make up the rest of the table. So for the styles we have created to apply, just select the cell and then hook the name I create for this cell, we will see that it is applied to the selected cell.
