Tables in Adobe InDesing

If you need to sort multiple items like charts or data by placing them in one format, a smart alternative would be add and create summaries in your project. Creating a table in the InDesing program is a really simple process, for this you have to:

  1. Open the document in InDesing in which you want to insert a table.
  2. Look for the text tool, marked with a "T", located on the left side of the panel and position yourself in the part of the document where you want the table to be.
  3. Once placed, go to the file "Table" located at the top of the panel.
  4. An option menu will appear where you need to select "Insert Table"
  5. After that, a window will appear in which you need to specify the number of rows and columns you want the table to create contain.
  6. In case the contents to be inserted continue in more than one column, you need to specify the number of header lines in which you want the information to be repeated.
  7. Finally, press «Ok». This way you will have already gone through the process of creating your table which will occupy the width of the text box.

Once the table has been added to your project, you can configure the size of the rows and columns by choosing the "cell options" option found in the table file. However, you can also perform this process manually, by placing the cursor on the border of the row or column you want to change.
