The Google Play Store dark theme is no longer exclusive to Android 10
It was Google itself who announced, through one of its official Twitter profiles, the arrival of the manual dark theme on the Google Play Store. As in the rest of the Google apps that already have this option, the Google Play dark theme change the white backgrounds to dark gray tones and makes the green accents predominate when we are in the categories of "Games" or "Apps", while if we go to the "Movies" or "Books" sections, these accents become red or blue respectively.
How to activate Google Play dark theme on mobile without Android 10
If you have a mobile that has not yet received the update to Android 10 and you want to have the dark theme in the app store, you just have to activate this option manually. The process consists of following the following steps:
- Open Google Play and slide the side menu.
- Tap "Settings" and look for the "Theme" section.
- Select "Dark".
In this way, the application interface will become dark. There is also the possibility to associate the application theme with the status of the energy saving system, so that if this mode is enabled, the dark theme will activate automatically.
